Directions to Peat Rigg Outdoor Training Centre

From Teesside

Take the A171 towards Guisborough and Whitby.
At Lockwood Beck Reservoir turn right for Castleton.
In Castleton turn right on the high street towards Rosedale.
When you reach the top of the moors look our for Ralph's Cross, just after this you turn left for Rosedale Abbey.
Keep on this road until you reach Rosedale. Continue through the village towards Cropton.
When you reach Cropton turn left at the grass triangle - signposted village only and Sutherland (if you pass the Pub you have gone too far).
Then follow the directions below for the last 2 miles.

From the west (Thirsk)

Take the A170 for Scarborough (via Sutton Bank).
2 miles before Pickering look for the turning for Cropton on your left.
In Cropton turn right just after the New Inn - signposted Sutherland and Keldy Forest Cabins.
Then follow the directions below for the last 2 miles.

From the East (Scarborough) or North (Whitby) or South

At the main roundabout in Pickering follow directions for Helmsley on the A170.
After two miles you reach the turning for Cropton on your right.
In Cropton turn right just after the New Inn - signposted Sutherland and Keldy Forest Cabins.
Then follow the directions below for the last 2 miles.

Last two miles

Soon after you leave Cropton village the road become very straight.
Look for the sign pointing to Sutherland only and our sign for the Peat Rigg Centre.
Take this left turn and follow the minor road for half a mile.
Look for the sign and entrance to Peat Rigg on your right.
